Historic Paduan restaurant known for boiled meat. Good acquaintances
The courage not to change, to propose simple traditional recipes, such as fresh pasta, roasts and boiled meat. All very good.
There is nothing to say. Friendly and nice staff Warm and welcoming environment. The boiled meat, the side dishes and the delicious desserts !! . I would add that in such a difficult moment for everyone it is heartening to see a restaurant working. Thanks for the good food and for the 2 hours of normality which these days is not cheap
Very noce food
Great service, compliance with anti covid regulations. Boiled meat top. Value for money, good compromise. I recommend to go.
Fantastic place as always. Impeccable table service and all very kind. The food is genuine and the boiled meat is really as it was prepared and served many years ago !!! Super top local ???
Historic place in Padua, restaurant with an 80's look, excellent roast and boiled trolleys. Homemade first courses too, but if you have meat in mind, skip the first courses
Historic Paduan restaurant, famous for roasts and boiled meats. I must say promises kept, we ate boiled and it was really good. The venue needs a refresh, but is still pleasant, clean and tidy. Efficient, punctual and professional service. I'm counting on 40 per person.
I tried the gnocchi with meat sauce and boiled meats and what about ... a show. Friendly staff
Historic restaurant since 1946 offers Venetian cuisine respecting taste and tradition. The prices are good and the staff are particularly attentive and friendly. To try!
Historic restaurant in Padua where you can eat an excellent roast and boiled meat with a choice from the trolley. The service is fast and very friendly staff.
As Vasco said !! WITHOUT WORDS!!! I ate divinely dishes of our Venetian tradition prepared in an exemplary way and served flawlessly always with a smile. Certainly see you soon.
Venetian atmosphere, excellent and abundant Venetian food, perhaps too much (I recommend pasta and beans). If you like the retro 60's style, the location is perfect. The price, unlike the food, is quite salty.
All excellent, from home-made pasta to the boiled meats trolley through an attentive and never invasive service. On account they forgot to score a second, after pointing it out they paid homage to us to thank us for their honesty ... as it once happened, we will recommend a stop to friends if passing through Padua.
From the outside it doesn't make a difference but the polenta taragna and the tagliata with mushrooms are special. The house wine is excellent, a good Barbera that goes straight to the head .. in addition to eating very well in this place you can breathe all the industriousness of a province, that of Bergamo, which has always rolled up its sleeves. Great!
The kingdom of boiled meat, absolutely to try. The roasts are also excellent
Very large and elegant place, very well cooked dishes. They go either with the trolley to serve freshly cooked dishes or à la carte. Very kind and caring staff. I ate an exceptional fillet, to say the least, but don't think to pay little for it. On the other hand, good things are paid for.
Pleasant evening with friends. The remodeled location on the new post-Covid indications allowed us to dine safely in the outdoor wing. Delicious and very soft, as usual, the potato gnocchi offered with different seasonings, a dish that has always been appreciated for its authenticity and goodness. The climate then, still spring, allowed us to taste the main courses: the classic boiled meat with very tender and tasty meats accompanied by the usual sauces, served in a very hot dish that kept the food appreciable until the end. Even the roasts have had their deserved success. Reluctantly I left out the desserts, however, giving me the cup of wild strawberries with white wine. A real treat! The strawberries had released their aroma making a fragrant liqueur into wine. Returning to the club after the forced closure did not prevent me from finding the managers and all the staff with the usual good humor and welcome that has always characterized them, together with their great professionalism. Restaurants should not be forgotten ...
Very good typical restaurant of local (veneta) cuisine, with a special mention and a praise for hand-made pasta and boiled meats cart (sumptuous!!). Very kind staff and quick service.

Great food and atmosphere!
The best food and best eat you can find here
We had gnocchi, they were ok but kind of "jellyish", and the "English roast beef" with Au-jus was way too tough, the "jus" was oily and tasteless
One of the best in padova
Restaurant near Padua, first discrete and excellent seconds, there is the embarrassment of the choice between boiled and roasted which are brought into the room on large trolleys from which you can choose the desired part. Very kind staff and really low prices for such quality and abundance. Bravi!
If you love "bollito" you cannot miss this restaurant
Top!
Braviiiiiiii
Pleasant and welcoming environment, very kind and helpful staff. A surprise to find a stick of butter at the table as a welcome with a basket of warm bread A fairy tale !!!!! The gnocchi are special with the variety of 5 sauces, a special merit to the boiled meat trolley served hot and prepared in front of your table. An experience to be repeated. Recommended for those who love boiled meat and homemade pasta
Local, service and dishes all perfect! More than abundant dishes and quality food. Ignore people who have given one or two stars, it makes no sense, just look at how many other reviews have written .... Average prices.

So much meat! So much delicious!!!
Very good
This is the best food I have had in Italy. Everything was magnificent from service to food to ambience. No fuss and only the best of everything. Wines were perfect. If you are in Padua and you want the very best of Italian food and service then you won't get any better than this.
Ristorante da Giovanni is a very friendly local and traditional. We visited Padua for 2 days. My husband had a delicious starter. My secondo piatto was so delicious and I struggled with the portion size. The dish was also large and whilst traditional and acceptable, my husband wouldn't choose this again. We drank local red wine which was very good. It was a lovely experience and one that I wouldn't have missed. I would recommend booking as this restaurant is popular.
